We are a small business specializing in the rental of oceanfront properties, beach condos, beach houses, and vacation homes for both short and long-term occupancy. All of our properties are privately owned by others and reflect the tastes of each individual owner.

We all learn from our past experiences. What I learned as an owner of a Pensacola Beach vacation rental is that a more personal approach was needed in the vacation rental industry. Lori Martinez - Manager/Owner
Lori's love of travel and vacations started long before she was an adult. Some of her favorite childhood memories are those of family vacations. Lori, along with her sister and brother always looked forward to our trips to anywhere or everywhere. Lori says the experience was priceless! Lori said "It really didn't matter if we rented and stayed in an apartment, condo, private home or hotel. What mattered is the fact that either one became a part of our family's past, present and future."
Her years in the U.S. Navy as a corpsman and 30 years in the medical field contributed to her personal commitment to customer care and customer service. She is dedicated to helping vacationers find that special place here in our Pensacola Paradise. Lori's goal is to make your visit pleasant, positive and rewarding, and to treat you like she would want to be treated.

Sam Wright - Assistant Manager
Samantha (Sam) Wright, a Pensacola native, returns to Pensacola Beach after raising a family in Virginia. After graduating from Woodham High School, Sam’s wanderlust took her to Judson College in Marion, AL. After a year of college, Sam moved to Virginia and started a family. With her husband Jon, she raised her five children four boys and one girl—while honing her customer service skills in the food industry.
With a love for customer service, Sam went to work for Marriott Hotels in 2009. Sam excelled in her positions in Food and Beverage, Event Planning, and Accounts Payable. With Marriott Sam received numerous awards, including Best Restaurant Team in 2016.
When the opportunity came to bring her back to the Gulf Coast, the family was excited to start a new adventure. With a love for customers and Pensacola Beach, Sam is a natural fit for Surfside Properties.

Steve Picker - Owner
Steve attended the University of Missouri graduating with a degree in hotel and restaurant management. He was employed at the Hyatt Regency Crown Center in Kansas City until the entrepreneurial bug kicked in. His father started a engineering business many years ago and his entrepreneurial sprit was passed down. Steve started his own web-development business in 1997; then in 2000, working with his grandmother, he started a business marketing a salad dressing she perfected in 1957 called Grandma’s Cool & Zesty Dressing. Concurrently, he received his master’s in Business Administration. In 2009, Steve purchased a condominium in Pensacola Beach and immediately placed it in a rental program. After 9 months, he felt that a more personal approach was needed in the industry. An approach that was based on cleanliness, open communication and excellent customer service.
